• 1dr Finnr

His sire is Kjor Hunter, whose sire was imported from Norway and dam was imported from Germany.

His dam is 1dr Moena, a daughter of our internationally-awarded stallion 1dr Ragnvald, and out of our sweet drafty mare, Double C Lilli.

    His pedigree is here.

    • Colt
    • DOB: 5/25/2025
    • Sire: Kjor Hunter (Sire imported from Norway, Dam imported from Germany)
    • Dam: 1dr Moena (out of Double C Lilli by 1dr Ragnvald).
    • Color genetics: White dun that carries grey (Aa EE NCr DD).
    • Anticipated mature height: 14.0-14.1 hands.
    • Suitable for: Breeding, dressage, jumping, working equitation, speed events
    • Temperament: This colt is energetic, smart, and seeks attention. He is happy to do what’s asked of him and enjoys time with people who are comfortable handling average horses. He’s not as naturally calm as many of our Fjords, but he’s not a highly reactive type either.
    • Additional attributes: Finnr matured really early, and could have bred mares as early as 10 months old. He nearly succeeded in breeding a 2 year old filly in April 2026. Most Fjord colts don’t mature that soon. Both testicles were down at birth and are big for his age. This colt is very typie, of medium bone and muscle, moves beautifully, has a gorgeous head with thick long forelock, very correct legs, excellent neck set, balanced body parts, strong loin, excellent hoof structure, and a beautiful white coat with a thick dorsal stripe in the mane and tail. He would be a great breeding stallion for producing performance Fjords, and will be an eager and energetic performance gelding if the new owner prefers a gelding.
    • Training: Finnr is easy to catch, stands tied, picks up feet loose in the pasture, enjoys his mane trimming and grooming, he loads in trailers and has been trailered 4 times.
    • Price: $5,500

Finnr is a character. This dog food bag blew into the winter paddock and he proceeded to desensitize the other horses by picking it up in his teeth and flapping it around.

Moena is a gorgeous, dark brown dun mare.

Finnr was born 5/25/25 with excellent structure.

Moena has a beautiful head and passed that to her son Finnr.

Finnr is going to be shaped a lot like his mother at maturity.

I love how correct his legs are.

Finnr has been athletic and energetic from the start.

By 4 weeks old, Finnr showed us that he will likely mature with a thick muscling and good bone.

Finnr had a month of formal halter training in winter of 2025-2026 and experience in trailers. He is easy to halter, stands quietly tied and loads well. He’s on the left in this photo.

We feed the weanlings in the trailer as part of their trailer training, and we tie them there, so they associate the trailer as a positive place to be.

Finnr at 1 year old, and already courting the 2 year old fillies. He matured faster than most Fjord foals and is ready to breed mares already!

Yearling Finnr. His movement is beautiful. He’d make an amazing dressage and performance Fjord.
