Kate is a mare that we purchased to add diversity and draft to our herd. She’s 141 cm tall (just under 14.0 hands), with 21.5 cm cannon circumference.
Kate is a great mare for riding and driving. She’s on the right here, paired with 1dr Gylda, during their month of driving training. Watch a video of the noise they tolerated so well.
Kate is very typie for the draft end of the breed, with a great balance of parts and harmony in all of it.
Kate’s drafty structure is really apparent when compared to our lighter and fancier Fjords, such as in this video of Ragnvald showing off for Kate.
Kate with her 2026 colt, sired by Lost Trails Ace. Her foals have such nice drafty traits, and they often inherit her beautiful head.
