Erica is the tallest Fjord in our herd. She measures just under 15.2 hands. She is out of our 15 hand mare Double C Gracelyn, and by our 15 hand drafty Canadian-import stallion, D+ Elko.

I love Erica’s dark body color, heavy bone, and sweet, cooperative temperament. She’s also a great mother. This is her 2022 colt Ernsten.

We’ve retained quite a few horses from this line for our breeding program due to their wonderful qualities. We have 2 of Erica’s full sisters, 1dr Ingunn and 1dr Eileen, their mother Gracelyn, Erica’s half sisters Koryn and Sejline, plus Koryn’s son Mathis and daughter Stenetta.

Although Erica isn’t a high energy or reactive type horse, she can definitely canter!

Erica is to the left here, and her 15 hand mother Gracelyn is to the right. Elko contributed more substance of body to Erica, and they definitely added height to this girl!

Erica is also wider in the chest than her mother.
