Viska is a tall and big-bodied brown dun mare from 1dr Raisa, by Fair Acres Ole.
Viska was born in 2021, so she’s not done growing yet. She measures just under 14.3 hands (149 cm) and has 21 cm cannon circumference at 5 years old.
Viska has loads of hair, primarily from her sire, Fair Acres Ole, but her dam also has a long forelock.
Viska has these dark marks on her muzzle, which are commonly seen on grey Fjords (grulla in other breeds), but these marks are rarely seen on brown duns. They’re part of the primitive marks that are desirable in the Breed Standard.
Viska received her month of driving training in 2024, and is a fun Fjord to drive now. Watch a video.
Viska served as the quarantine companion when we bought our white dun filly Marilena as a yearling. They became fast friends and have remained so.

Viska has a lot of athleticism while also being very easy to handle and loving people.

Viska was SUCH an easy baby. In this video, I put a halter over her head to make a foal harness. She had never experienced that previously and was super cooperative. Her temperament was what brought her to the top of my list of foals to retain that year.
