Vindkast is a brown dun daughter of 1dr Raisa, and sired by Fair Acres Ole. She carries grey (Aa EE DD), and measures just under 14.2 hands (147 cm) with 20 cm cannon bones at 4 years old.
We named her ‘windswept’ in Norwegian due to the wind on the day of her birth.

Vindkast is an excellent broodmare and we are retaining Arva for our breeding program.

Vindkast was sent off for 30 days of driving training as a 2.5 year old. She trained up very easily, which is exactly what we want in our broodmares. Watch a video of her driving.

Vindkast as a foal, raised like all of our foals, with small ruminants.
We have livestock guardian dogs in our pastures to keep the small ruminants safe, and sometimes the foals try to play with the dogs. The dogs tolerate it like this first, but if the foal insists, they will receive a growl and snap that quickly teaches the foal to leave the LGDs alone. The dogs never play with the foals.
