• Fjords under contract

    1dr Ehwaz:

    • Colt
    • DOB: 7/18/2026
    • Sire: Kjor Hunter (white dun, heavy bone, just under 14.2 hands, sire imported from Norway, dam imported from Germany)
    • Dam: 1dr Elinor (drafty brown dun from Skylar’s Dreamin Disa by 1dr Kjaman, who is out of our past therapeutic Fjord Brita)
    • Color genetics: White dun, AA EE NCr
    • Anticipated mature height: 14.1 hands.
    • Suitable for: breeding, versatile uses
    • Temperament: low reactivity, friendly, loves scratches
    • Additional attributes: This colt is so nicely structured! I love his neck set, balance of body parts, hip and shoulder shapes and angles, correct legs with substantial bone and body carriage. He will be medium-heavy muscled. The name Ehwaz is from the horse rune and means partnership, steady progress, trust, discipline, cooperation, and forward energy, which fit him so nicely!
    • Price: $7,500.
Ehwaz at 3 weeks old. Such a nicely structured colt!

    1dr Gwynn:

    • Filly
    • DOB: 7/7/2026
    • Sire: Kjor Hunter (white dun, heavy bone (9.25″ cannon circumference), heavy muscle with performance-built frame, sire imported from Norway, dam imported from Germany, just under 14.2 hands)
    • Dam: Double C Nora, 14.0 hand dark brown dun with loads of long forelock and tail
    • Color genetics: White dun that carries grey, Aa EE NCr.
    • Anticipated mature height: 14.0-14.1 hands.
    • Suitable for: Breeding, performance, draft, trail
    • Temperament: Friendly, trusting, energetic, loves attention
    • Additional attributes: Excellent structure, upright neck carriage, athletic, nice balance of parts, common head and ears. Moderate height with substantial bone. I’ve been wanting a white dun filly from our 20 year old mare Nora, that has this filly’s traits, so she is priced high, and if she doesn’t sell, we will make room for her in the broodmare herd by selling one of the adult mares the year that Gwynn turns 3 years old. Nora grows mane longer, faster and with more durable strands than any of our other Fjords, so I’ve let her mane grow long so I can harvest the hairs for making brushes for the church. She is the only Fjord in our herd that we don’t keep the mane trimmed short. I’m hopeful that Gwynn will inherit the super thick and long mane and forelock of both of her parents. Time will tell.
    • Price: $10,500

    1dr Losen:

    • Temperament: Losen is curious and has medium boldness. He loves attention.

He’s had some health challenges early in life, with getting caught in the electronet fence, an umbilical infection, and an infected lymph node. His price is lower simply due to these early life challenges

    • Dam: 1dr Ilsa (1dr Bekke [Short Creek’s Amber x Valea’s Vesle, both imported from Canada] by Kjor Hunter)

    • Additional attributes: This dark red dun beauty was named Strawberry in Norwegian. She’s medium in build, has a dishy, wide-eyed beautiful head, excellent neck and balanced body parts, outstanding hooves and legs, and beautiful movement. Her dorsal stripe is super dark red, the probability of her color combo was only 25%, and I’ve not seen an equal quality filly available (temperament, structure, color, movement), so her price is high, and I would love to keep her for our broodmare herd, but we are offering her to others who appreciate her quality.
    • Price: $12,000.

Junia at 3 days old, with mom Gylda.

Junia enjoying attention, 6 weeks old. Foals that let strangers come up to pet them, and it doesn’t concern them enough to make them get up, tells me that they have an outstanding temperament.

    1dr Erja:

    • Filly
    • DOB: 7/1/2026
    • Sire: Kjor Hunter (white dun, heavy bone, sire imported from Norway, dam imported from Germany)
    • Dam: 1dr Erica, just under 15.2 hands (out of 15 hand Double C Gracelyn by 15 hand Canadian import D+ Elko)
    • Color genetics: white dun that carries grey, Aa EE NCr
    • Anticipated mature height: 14.3-15 hands.
    • Suitable for: breeding, trail riding, low level performance, draft work, pleasure riding/driving, therapeutic services.
    • Temperament: Erja is friendly, curious, calm, moderately bold and loves attention.
    • Additional attributes: Erja has heavy bone and muscle, upright carriage, nice balance of body parts and long legs. She moves very nicely. She has a very dark mane and tail, which will correspond with an uncommonly bold dorsal stripe for a white dun, dark forelock and wide black section of the mane and tail as an adult. She is going to be one big mare at maturity, in height and bulk. It’s rare to find such a nice, large mare with color in this breed.
